APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO GRADE 8

Dear Grade 7 Student and Parents,

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at HTS Middelburg. Applications for Grade 8 will open at the beginning of May.

Please be informed that the National Department of Education encourages parents to apply at multiple schools, even if HTS Middelburg is the preferred choice, given the limited available space.

Parents are kindly requested to complete the electronic application form below in order to apply for admission to HTS Middelburg.

Required Documentation

Applicants will be required to follow the provided link and upload all required documents electronically. Please ensure that the following documents are saved on your computer before opening the application link:

  • A certified copy of the learner’s birth certificate
  • The learner’s most recent school report / transfer certificate
  • A recent ID photograph of the learner
  • A copy of the learner’s medical aid card
  • Certified copies of both parents’ / guardians’ identity documents
  • Death certificate of a parent, if applicable
  • If information for one parent is unavailable, please attach a sworn affidavit explaining the reason
  • Proof of residential address (municipal water and electricity account)

Hostel Applications

Hostel applications will only be considered if the school application has been successful. Hostel placements take place during November. Successful applicants will receive written communication from Mrs Mari Smith, containing all relevant hostel information.
