A grade 7 learner’s first step into high school is a significant and often daunting one – things happen more quickly, homework becomes more demanding, and there is much more pressure on both the parent and child.

At HTS Middelburg, we strive to keep both parents and prospective grade 8 learners informed. Early in October, we host a Blougatbraai for parents of enrolled grade 8 learners who will begin their school career at HTS Middelburg the following January. During this event, all aspects regarding a learner’s grade 8 year are discussed. Parents have the opportunity to meet the grade 8 guardian, as well as the relevant subject teachers.
